Warranty

ParshallFlumes.com products are provided with a limited (1) year warranty starting from the date of shipment for orders installed in the CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES.  

Orders installed OUTSIDE of the CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES are sold AS-IS.

The warranty is as follows:

Parshall flumes sold by us are designed to measure: surface waters, irrigation flows, edge-of-field flows, spring discharge, water rights, and normal sanitary sewage (fiberglass only).  

They are not to be used where:  

  • The flow is at higher than ambient temperatures.
  • Or where chemicals or concentrations of chemicals not normally found in surface waters or normal sanitary sewage (fiberglass only) are present.

While the flumes sold by us are durable, only aluminum or galvanized steel construction should be ordered where:  sediment loads are high, where sharp rocks/gravel are present, where the channel banks may experience burn-back, or where animal traffic is present (cows, elk, moose, deer, etc).

You agree and understand that periodic inspection is a necessary part of a long service lift.  During inspection you may need to apply descale / derust, apply cold galvanization, remove biological growths, sediment, and debris, and seal seams.

Should the flume be damaged DURING SHIPMENT and the damage is VISIBLE,  you must REFUSE DELIVERY. 

Accepting a visibly damaged flume WITHOUT prior written approval by us will mean that the flume is AS-IS, with no warranty for workmanship or materials.

Should the flume have CONCEALED damage during shipment:  you have (10) days to report the damage to us.  Should you fail to report the damage during this period, the flume is AS-IS, with no warranty for workmanship or materials. 

You will need to keep the flume and its packaging where it safe, secure, and at ground level for the claims adjuster to make their inspection up to (60) days from the report of concealed damage.

Damage to the flume during loading / unloading, installation, or placement is not warranted.  

In the unlikely event that the flume fails during the warranty period we will:  repair or replace the flume at our sole discretion.  

If a repair needs to be made it may be done:  at your site, at a site of our choosing, or at our facilities.

If the repair is at your site:  you agree to clean the flume if it has been exposed to anything other than clean water and move it to a safe, secure, ground level area.  The area must have suitable AC power available for our equipment and be accessible to us (7) days a week. 

We want to get you up and running as quickly as practical, but only we will decide when a repair will be made.

We will not be required to provide any insurance not already carried by us to visit your site.  Should such insurance be required and not already carried by us (or not in the amounts required by you), you agree to pay us (in advance) for such coverage necessary plus a 10% administrative charge.  

If the repair is either at a site of our choosing or at our facilities: 

  • You agree to remove the flume from service
  • Clean the flume if it has been exposed to anything other than clean water
  • Package / pallet the flume for shipment
  • Load the pickup carrier

Once the flume has been repaired, you agree to:

  • Unload the carrier
  • Reinstall the flume

We will bear shipping costs to and from your original delivery location via a method chosen solely by us (which may vary from how the flume was originally sent to you).

If the flume is replaced, you agree to: 

  • Remove and dispose of the existing flume
  • Unload the carrier
  • Install the new flume

We will bear shipping costs to your original delivery location via a method chosen solely by us (which may vary from how the original flume was sent to you).

At no time will we bear the cost of:  loading / unloading, removal, installation / reinstallation, bypass pumping or diversion, liquidated damages, lost production / use of product, cleaning, repackaging, disposal of materials, or any other cost not expressly listed above.

Should we decide NOT to repair or replace the flume for any reason, we will issue a refund within (30) days of our determination.
